Luminous Hands – Sunstack Jones LP/CD
£11.85 – £34.50
Sunstack Jones – Luminous Hands : AV8-24 (PRE-ORDER RELEASED 25/10/24)
(Limited Edition Clear Vinyl LP and CD both come with a signed booklet)
Sunstack Jones create a sound steeped in Northern classicism with an eye on sun kissed canyons and shimmering, lush soundscapes – all whilst existing firmly in the here and now.
New album ‘Luminous hands’ (AV8 Records) follows 2020’s ‘Golden repair’ which won four star reviews from Mojo & Shindig!, support from Steve Lamacq at 6 Music, 3 x Tim’s Twitter Listening Parties and U.K. tour with Tim Burgess.
‘Luminous hands’ is another step forward, fuelled by a restless creative spirit and a committed desire to keep progressing. It is its own complete world – made specifically to be enjoyed as a whole. Helmed in Wirral (hometown) based studio The Panic Room by longtime producer Paul Den Heyer the album was brought to life via sessions with The Verve’s Simon Jones (as on Golden Repair) as well as home recordings & collaborations (notably with New Mexico’s Tan Cologne).
“Their songs are full of heart tugging melodies and delightful harmonies, which ponder love, life and times passing”” – MOJO
“Mystical and at times magical” – Shindig
“A little bit psych, a little bit country, a whole lot of songwriting genius” – Clash
